Project S.H.O.U.T. (Students Helping Others Understand Tobacco) primary goal was to reduce both cigarette and smokeless tobacco use among junior high and high school students throughout San Diego public schools. The project trained more than 100 undergraduates to conduct lessons which emphasize social skills training, social activism against tobacco use, and incentives for non-use of tobacco.
